Scott Turner, 60, of Kingsport, TN passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born on May 8, 1964 in Kingsport, TN.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Hayden Turner, Jr. (June 1972) and by his mother, Pauline Turner (December 2017). He is survived by his aunt and uncle, Shirley and James Williams and by a special cousin, Harold Causey, all of Hyden, KY.

Scott was the owner of Turner Auto Detail and detailed vehicles for over ten years for Mickey Smith. He was a talented drummer who enjoyed listening to all types of music and he played in several bands throughout his lifetime.

Scott was a caring person with a good sense of humor. He enjoyed activities with his friends, attending summer concerts in downtown Kingsport, and making cars look their best with his talented detailing.

Scott was baptized at an early age and had recently professed his faith in Jesus. He lived his live honoring God and loving his family and many friends.

The family extends their appreciation to John and Angela Gillenwater for caring for Scott during his final days. Special thanks to those friends who called and visited Scott during his illness.

Sad to hear about Scott passing. He was a good friend and a better person. I got to know Scott probably more than 20 years ago. I'm happy to say that I got to play a couple shows with Scott and he was a very talented drummer. Although I haven't seen him in a while I will always remember him as a kind soul with a infectious laugh. You will be missed my good friend!
