Shelby McMurray Obituary
KINGSPORT - Shelby Gale McMurray, 82, Kingsport, TN, passed away at his home Saturday, November 25, 2023, peacefully surrounded by his family.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 7:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Ronnie Horne, Pastor Troy Daily, Brother Scotty Laughlin, and Evangelist Rex McMurray officiating. Eric McMurray, Roy Trent, and Reba Grizzle will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the McMurray Cemetery, Hiltons, VA. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m., for the graveside service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Clifford Pennington will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to McMurray Cemetery fund in care of Peggy Hughes, 699 Boozy Creek Rd., Blountville, TN, 37617, or Wanda Horne 735 Misty Woods Dr., Blountville, TN, 37617.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care for their love and support of Gale.
