Thomas Gilbert Obituary
September 4, 1966 - June 9, 2023
KINGSPORT - Thomas Edward Gilbert went to be with the Lord on June 9th, 2023, at 56, surrounded by his family. As an avid outdoorsman, Thomas instilled that knowledge into his daughters and grandchildren. He was strong-willed at times but had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor, making him loved by all those close to him.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents: Thomas Jefferson Gilbert and Anna Ruth Brown, and his older sister, Tina Louise Griss. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly forty years, Donna Gilbert; and three daughters: Lanesa Bowman and husband Michael, Andrea Kilgore and husband Mark, and Emily Greear and husband Daniel; and his six adoring grandchildren: Vincent and Isaac Bowman, Noah, Oliver, and Paisleigh Kilgore, and Tanner Greear. Thomas is survived by his sister, Rita Boyer and husband David, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves many close family members and friends to cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life was held at Bays Mountain Baptist Church on June 16, 2023.
