KINGSPORT - Thomas William Gray, Jr., 75, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday November 15th, 2023, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Kingsport, he has lived in this area most of his life. He worked as an over the road trucker for Big G Express. He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. Thomas was an avid TN Vol fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Eva Gray.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years, Phyllis Gray; two daughters, Kim Gray and Sarah Smith and husband Zachary; one son, Brad Skinner; one granddaughter, Olivia Johnson; sister, Barbara Hudson and husband Fred, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 20th, 2023, at Sunnyside Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Bill Sims officiating.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m.
