May 27, 1963 – August 2, 2023
KINGSPORT - Our father, Thomas Otterbine, left the world behind on August 2, 2023 at 60 years old. He died while staying with his trusted friends. He was cremated at the Trinity Funeral Home.
He raised four children, two of his own, Shannon and Lisa Otterbine and two not his, Jennifer Knapp and Eric Aull. He was a father to us all, and we all had unique relationships with him. He was a great friend to my mother, Teresa Knapp, and stayed by her side as a friend up until his death. He is sorely missed by his dog and best friend, Trip, his faithful companion.
Tom was always an eccentric man, but he was true to himself and lived life to the beat of his own tune. Even with all the ups and downs, he was still our father.
He was silly and goofy, and above all else he just loved living life, fortune and misfortune alike. He will be missed for his interesting adventures and his silly stories. He had a knack for painting and writing poetry, he would also play the guitar and tinker with cars. We will keep your painting forever.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Joe, and his mother, Helen, and his brother Vic. He is survived by his four children, Shannon, Lisa, Erica and Jenny, his brothers Mike, Joe, Sean, Ray, Chris and his sister Mary-Grace as well as several nieces and nephews.
