Tom Owens Obituary

BIG STONE GAP, VA - Tom "Tucson" Owens passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

He was a master contractor, licensed in all fields. Tom loved log homes and built over 40 during his lifetime. His hobby was wood carving, winning many blue ribbons.

Tom leaves behind his wife and best friend, Regenia. Also, left to cherish his memory are Whitney Egan and David (Kaylee McMillian), Mychelle and Jack Lawson (Travis and Erica); Natalie Wells (Hunter and Ross), Cheryl and Eddie Kilbourne (Tyler and Jacob), Michael Owens (Sarah and Melanie), Gina and Mike Stanley; his sister, Darlene Christian and special nephew, David Smith; brother-in-law, Woody Franklin (Sandy); sister-in-law, Mary Ann Light; and seven great-grandchildren.

Tom was blessed by dear friends, Mike and Diane Abbott, Denny and Linda Flanary, Maurice Vanhook, Bill and Susan Rines, all of whom gave constant support during his health struggles. Tom loved his family and friends. To know him was to love him.

He will be reunited with his parents, Percy and Margaret (Meade) Owens.

Tom requested no service.
