Virginia Brooks October 8, 1933- June 28, 2024
ROGERSVILLE - Virginia Brooks, age 90, of Rogersville, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024. She was a member of Howe's Chapel Baptist Church. She retired as a custodian from St. Clair Elementary School and prior to that she was a homemaker, devoted wife and mother. After retirement she was a loving grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carson and Laura Brown; husband, Isaac D. Brooks; sister, Juanita Burton; nephew, Elmore Burton; and stepson, J. Fred Brooks.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Brooks Taylor and husband, Rodney; special grandson, Cameron Taylor; niece, Judy Duncan; and step daughter-in-law, Mary Brooks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Christian Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. Lon Taylor officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am July 3, 2024 in Hawkins County Memorial Gardens. The family asks if you plan on attending the graveside service to please meet at the cemetery by 10:45 am. I loved Virginia and her whole family. I'm so sorry, Teresa. I'm just seeing this. Prayers & Love! she always so sweet when we would go over her house after church with Teresa...quite a few times. I'll never forget your Daddy either. He would lift us all up on your horse and led us all for strolls. They both loved you so much.

Teresa I´m so sorry to hear about your mom.. my heart just broke... she was always like my 2nd mom cos she always new when I needed something & I would go down there & she´d would fix me the best grilled cheese that I ever had.... You don´t know how thankful I was for her...Love & Prayers for you, Rodney & Cameron...... Elizabeth
