Wanda Mullins Obituary

DRYDEN, VA - Wanda Ann (Musick) Mullins, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2023, after a long battle with illness. She was born on November 9, 1946, in Dryden, VA, where she also peacefully passed away. Known for her loving, kind, and generous spirit, Wanda's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Wanda was the daughter of the late Lawrence Ewing Musick and Dora Mae Ramsey Musick.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Ramsey and Dana Musick, and his wife, Freda.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Bill Mullins of the home, and their children, Billy Joe Mullins Jr. of Dryden and Sindy Fields, and her husband, Freddie of Pennington Gap. Wanda was a proud grandmother to Joe "Trey" Mullins and his wife, Megan of Huntsville, Al., Charlie Mullins and his wife, Jessie of Dryden, VA., Josh Mullins and his fiancée Baylee Cox of Pennington Gap, Micah Mullins, Ethan Fields, Emily Fields, and Noelle Fields, all of Pennington Gap. She also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Amelia Mullins of Dryden. Additionally, she is survived by one brother, Billy Musick of Dryden, her sister-in-law, Claudette Ramsey of Dryden, and several other close relatives and friends.

Wanda was a proud graduate of Dryden High School and later earned her R.N. Degree from Mountain Empire College. She dedicated her professional life to the healthcare industry, serving as a Director of Nursing at Carter Hall and Lee Health and Rehab until her retirement. Her commitment to providing loving care for her patients was a testament to her selfless nature.

A faithful member of Dryden Missionary and attendee of the First Baptist Church of Pennington Gap, Wanda's faith was an integral part of her life. Known for her kindness and generosity, she lived her faith every day, by faithfully reading her Bible and praying for those she loved.

In addition to her professional accomplishments and her dedication to her faith, Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her world, and she cherished the time she spent with them. Her love, wisdom, and kindness will be sorely missed.
