Wanda Webb April 10, 1936- April 24, 2024
KINGSPORT - Wanda Webb, 88, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born April 10, 1936, in Russell County, VA to the late Dewey and Grace Chafin LaForce.
Wanda was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church, the Eastern Star for 50 years and retired as an L.P.N. at Indian Path Hospital.
Wanda loved God and her family dearly. Her heart's desire was for her family to accept Jesus and to meet her in Heaven one day. She would do anything for anybody.
Wanda always loved to travel, visiting over 10 different countries in her lifetime.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Webb, Jr.; siblings, Everett LaForce, Phyllis Williams, Carl LaForce, Lon LaForce, Vivian Hurd, Joyce Owens, Francis Winebarger, and Cecil LaForce.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Terry Mitchell, Danny (Hilda), Doyle (Amy), Stanley, and Phil Webb; daughter, Patty Mitchell; siblings, Carol Watkins, Jan Helton, and Pete LaForce; sister-in-law, Mary Jean Shell; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family and close friends will meet at 12:30 pm Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Oak Hill Funeral Home for a visitation.
The procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 pm Sunday, April 28, 2024, for the Graveside Service at 2:00 pm at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Mount Carmel, TN. Dr. Phil Hoskins will officiate. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family reunion will be as usual. We will meet on June 29, 2024, for the Fourth of July and December 21, 2024, for Christmas.
