KINGSPORT - Wendy Boyd Fields, age 55, of the Colonial Heights community of Kingsport, entered her Heavenly home surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, following a courageous, two-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Wendy was a daughter of Wendel Gene and Brenda Joyce Bishop Boyd of Colonial Heights.
She was employed with Ballad Health as a Nurse Practitioner, serving as the Cardiovascular Service Line Director at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Wendy was a faithful member of Colonial Heights Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Kimila Elaine Boyd Miller.
In addition to her parents, Wendel and Brenda, Wendy is survived by her loving husband of thirty-two years, Waco Fields; sons, Chase Fields and wife Madeline, Knoxville, Trey Fields of Charleston, SC; many cousins, friends, and her work family.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4:00 -6:00 P.M., in the Sanctuary of Colonial Heights Christian Church, 105 Meadow Lane, Kingsport, TN 37663.
The Celebration of Wendy's Life will immediately follow with Mr. David Mullins, Minister, officiating.
In-lieu-of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Wendy to her favorite organization for ovarian cancer, Teal Diva, at www.tealdiva.org.
