Wilbur Crockett Lee, 88, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Parkwest Medical Center. Crockett was born in Rogersville to William and Ethel Lee. After high school, he graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Civil Engineering degree. He served as a Rogersville City Alderman for many years and worked for Dodge Reliance Electric. After retirement, he proudly served as Hawkins County Mayor for two terms. He loved and faithfully served the Rogersville First United Methodist Church as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Lay Leader as well as serving and leading on many committees. He also worked many years in support of the Rogersville Lions Club and loved serving his community.
Crockett was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Virginia Wilson (Harold), brother, Bill (Inez) Lee, brother-in-law, Don Busselle, father and mother-in-law, George and Florence Beal, sister-in-law, Charlene Beal, son-in-law Ron Hale and precious grandson Russell (Russ) Bryce Lee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Pat, four children, Kathy Carpenter (Roger), Diana Hale, Bob Lee (Kathy), Susan Hamilton (Scott), grandchildren, Travis Carpenter (Jennifer), Lindsy Carpenter, Jessica Floyd (Justin), and Mattie Trent (Kenny), great-grandchildren, Kylie, Matt and Ella Carpenter, Reese, R.J. and Drake Floyd, brother, John Lee (Carolyn) and sister, Jo Busselle along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Rogersville First United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Rogersville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Elaine Ruth officiating.
Burial will follow in McKinney Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rogersville First United Methodist Church.

I'm so sorry to hear of Crockett's passing. He was aways such a kind person. He and my dad were good friends who worked side by side in the Lions Club and as Aldermen. He will be missed .
