September 29, 2024

DUFFIELD, VA - Wilma Jean Williams, age 83 of Duffield, VA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Wilma was born on March 14, 1941, in Blackwater, VA to Hollie and Myrtle Bledsoe. On November 13, 1959, Wilma married her best friend and love of her life, Harvey B. Williams, and after 45 years of a beautiful life together and raising their family, he preceded her in death in 2004.

Wilma loved her family and she was devoted to them. She enjoyed quilting and gardening, and she was a devoted member of Thomas Village Baptist Church.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Harvey B. Williams; one brother, Bill Bledsoe; and one sister, Charlotte Tyree. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Kim Dockery and husband Jeff, and Lori Donihe and husband John; granddaughter, Holly Donihe; sister, Betty Neeley; special sister, Martha Bledsoe; special brother-in-law and friend, Orbin Engle; dear friends, Betty Walters, Charlotte Bishop, and Sue White; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Thomas Village Baptist Church in Duffield. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Bill Porter officiating. Graveside services will be held immediately after the funeral service at McKinney - Carter Cemetery. Wilma's family will be serving as pallbearers.

To Wilma´s Family...
Thank you so much for sharing Wilma with me. I loved her dearly she was such a hoot at times. She was also so joyful to be around and was always a light to everything dark. I enjoyed every moment I spent with her and I pray for you all at this time.
