Denise, Brendan, Lauren and Family. I just heard about Jim's passing and Bob and I are so very sorry for your profound loss. I owe my decades in Senate service to Jim, who recruited me in 1986 to complete my social work undergrad practicum in Senator Stout's district office. Although we didn't see each other often, I have always been grateful for that opportunity and for his friendship. I'll never forget his quick wit and sense of humor. Wishing you the comfort of your memories at this difficult time.

Jim was unlike anyone I have ever known. He had a special way of making people laugh, even at the worst times. His larger than life personality drew people to him and no one was a stranger. I was lucky to have him as a friend for the past 35 years, and will never forget him or the fun and crazy times we had with our Coast Guard family. Jim, fly with angels and keep those troops in heaven laughing! I will miss you my friend, always.

JIM WAS A GOOD GUY AND LONG TERM FRIEND. JIM WAS ALWAYS THE LIFE OF THE PARTY. HE WAS ALWAYS KIDDING AND JOKING WITH PEOPLE. RIP IN PEACE MY FRIEND.

I served with Jim in the USCGR. I remember him as an affable, good-natured Coastie who took and gave a good ribbing. So sorry for your loss-Fair Winds and Following Seas Jim. R.N. Armstrong.
