Roland Doncses Obituary

Roland J. Doncses, 86, formerly of Whitehall, died in the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. He was married to the late Orella A. (Christman) Doncses. Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Berner) Doncses. He was the proprietor of Roland Doncses Mason Contractors for 41 years. He was the past-president and lifetime member of the American Club of Coplay.
He honorably served his country in World War II in the U.S.Army.

Survivors: daughters, Deborah L. wife of Robert G. Kern Sr., of Lehighton, Denise L. wife of Ronald Reeser of Sykesville, MD; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters; brother, Alois Hammer of Nazareth, sister, Josephine Paul of Northampton. He was predeceased by longtime companion, Evelyn MacHose, 5 brothers and a sister.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037 with the Rev. Michael Bodnyk, officiating. Friends and family may call from 9:30-10:a0 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment to follow service at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
