Gary Chasse Obituary

Gary J. Chasse, 67, of Wallingford, loving husband of Terri-Kaye (Monks) Chasse, passed away unexpectedly January 3, 2025. Gary was born in Meriden on February 9, 1957, a son of the late Clarence and Marie (Richards) Chasse.
Gary worked as a Service Manager for a technical company for many, many years and traveled the world. He had been to almost every continent and loved trying local cuisines, while bringing home the best of countries' souvenirs for his little girls. As a second career, he worked for Hammonassett Construction until he retired.
To know Gary is to know his rosy cheeks, smiling eyes, infectious laugh, steady advice and positive disposition. He loved UCONN basketball, Yankee baseball and Giants football. Gary was the technology guy. He was always up to date on the newest gadgets and was the one everyone called on to "fix it". He was a friend to everyone he met, and to be his friend meant you were a friend for life. He would do anything and everything for the people he loved.
Above all, Gary was a family man. He lived for his family and would do anything for them. He was the rock, the caretaker, and the first phone call for advice. Gary cared for his parents and shared a deep connection with his four brothers. He loved having what he called "brother time" and always made sure to instill in his family that family came first and family connections were the most valuable gift. Gary adored his wife of 43 years Terri-Kaye. In their early years they loved hiking Sleeping Giant, where they got engaged. In their later years, they enjoyed driving around in their convertibles, most recently in the orange Camaro he bought for her. They shared many amazing moments together from high school, to becoming parents, to becoming grandparents. He was an amazing husband and the absolute greatest father anyone could ever ask for. Gary loved his two girls and was the ultimate "girl dad". He always made sure that they knew how to take care of themselves while always being there when they needed him. He made coffee deliveries, bought dinner, was a shoulder to lean on and the best supporter. He also adored his grandkids and was the greatest Pepere around. Gary attended every sporting event and concert. He was their biggest cheerleader and fan. It didn't matter if it was a football field, baseball field, dance competition or school auditorium- he was there taking videos and bragging about their accomplishments. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, Terri-Kaye, he is survived by his daughters, Katie Ferrari and her husband, Thomas, and Megan Robinson and her husband, Scott; his brothers, Rodney Chasse and his wife, Pamela) Wayne Chasse and Michael Chasse; his grandchildren, Dallas, Desiree and Shayne Ferrari and Avery and Oliver Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Steven Chasse.
Gary's family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 3 pm until 6:30 pm. His funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
