Mrs. Alice Faye Greer December 27, 1950- May 22, 2024 SURGOINSVILLE - Mrs. Alice Faye Greer, 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Alice was born in Rogersville, TN in 1950, and was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was of the Baptist faith and was a dedicated member at Oakdale Baptist Church. She loved to do crafts and making her own flower arrangements. She was a loving wife, caring mother, and grandmother and a wonderful loving friend to everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor "Tot", and Stella (Martin) Barrett; loving husband, Herman Hollie Greer; sister, Carolyn Hickman; and her brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Barrett.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Dutton; grandsons, Brandon, and Randall Dutton; sisters, Verna Horton, Nella Kate Christian, Gracie Christian; several nieces and nephews; as well as many dear extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 ? 4:00 PM on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill. The funeral service will follow the visitation at Oakdale Baptist Church at 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Anderson, Brian Greer, Stan Greer, Michael Hickman, Dakota Christian, and Dalton Sandage/Chad Sandage.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Shriners Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research, or to Oakdale Baptist Church.
