Anthony Ray Roberts

MOUNT CARMEL - Anthony Ray Roberts, age 35 of Mount Carmel, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Anthony was born on February 22, 1990, in Sullivan County, TN to Luther and Rhonda Roberts. Anthony was of the Pentecostal faith, and he attended Arnolds Chapel Church.

Anthony loved his family and spending time with his friends. He enjoyed growing strawberries in his garden, playing his tuba, and working on his Chevy S10 pickup. Anthony especially loved his two nephews, niece, and Agnes. Anthony will be truly missed by all those who knew him.

Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Iva Nell Roberts; maternal grandparents, Shack and Janie B. Crawford; and two aunts, Brenda Crawford, and Sandra Clements. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Luther and Rhonda Roberts; brother, Daniel Roberts and his wife, Shelby; sister, Tonya Birchfield and her husband, Thomas; two nephews, Bjorn Roberts, and Chase Birchfield; niece, Olivia Birchfield; paternal grandfather, Luther Holbert Roberts; two uncles, Mike Crawford and his wife, Theresa, and Ronnie Crawford; aunt, Sue Pierson; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at their home over the weekend. The family will formally receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home Church Hill from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home Church Hill at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jonathan Lovelace officiating. A graveside service will follow at Mount Mitchell Cemetery. Mike Crawford, Ronnie Crawford, Robbie Salyer, Christopher Crawford, Daniel Roberts, and Luther Roberts will be serving as pallbearers. Bjorn Roberts, Fred Castle, Larry Wagner, Chase Birchfield and Olivia Birchfield will be serving as honorary pallbearers.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home Church Hill is serving the Roberts family.
