Billy R. Helton

CHURCH HILL - Billy R. Helton, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 4, 2025, at his residence.

Billy was born in Hawkins County, TN, on April 3, 1935, to his parents, the late William "Bill" and Mattie Bass Helton. Billy attended Upper Room Baptist Church; he loved to farm and be outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Sue Helton; daughter, Deborah Elaine Helton; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Billy is survived by his loving son, Terry Helton of Church Hill, sisters, Nadine Cradic, Christine Cradic, Faye Viers, Belva Cradic, Sue VanAllen and Judy Meyers; along with several nieces and nephews.

A military graveside service will be held at Miller Cemetery on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Reverend David Gardner officiating; music will be provided by David and Debbie Gardner. Family will be serving as pallbearers.

Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 PM to go in procession.
