Brenda Smith Obituary

Brenda Smith, 74, went home to her heavenly Father on May 7, 2023. She retired from Upper East TN Head Start as a social worker.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Ina Begley; grandson, Tristan McConnell; sister, Judy Shuler; nephew, Sam Dykes; and brother-in-law, Mike Lovelace.

Survivors include her husband, Orville Buddy Smith; sons, Chris Smith and wife Lora, Matthew Smith and girlfriend Shelley Ray; sisters, Linda Vaughn and husband Willard, Teresa Lovelace, Debbie Goins and husband Don; grandchildren, Hailee Smith, Peyton Smith, Lola Smith, Max Vasallo, Austin Smith, Amanda Smith, and Brandon Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Kamryn Smith, Phoenix Mowell, Carson McConnell and Raelynn Ferguson; niece, Susan Powers; nephews, Steve Lovelace, Chuck Shuler, Andrew Dykes and Richard Vaughn.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on May 12, 2023 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel, Pastor Roger Estep officiating.
