Dr. Slocum was an outstanding person and doctor. I was always afraid of doctors but he always made me feel comfortable. He is one of the best and I will always remember him.

I saw Dr Slocum in 1975 with excruciating pain in my throat which came out to my ear when swallowing, yawning, laughing, coughing or clearing my throat. No doctor could determine what was causing it. After a series of tests he determined that it was GPN (glossalpharngeal neuralgia). It is a rare condition. He said it was the 2nd case he had seen. He referred me to a neurologist and they continue to treat it. I am so thankful that God placed him in my path. He is a wonderful doctor and a compassionate person. Prayers for his family during this time of incredible loss.
