FALL BRANCH - Carolyn Gouge, 78, of Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2026 surrounded by her family at her home. Born and raised in Coeburn, VA, she was a 1965 graduate of Coeburn High School. Carolyn attended Oak Glen Baptist Church. She loved working in her flower garden and especially loved spending time with her family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Hub and Vonda Griffith; sister, Norma Porter; brothers, Lowell and Donald Griffith.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Tommy Gouge; son, Thomas Gouge and wife, Mikael; special grandson, Tyson Gouge; brothers, David Griffith and wife Jean, Roger Griffith and wife Phyllis; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Truman Ferguson officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Glen Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
