Carolyn Greene Obituary

CHURCH HILL - Carolyn Ashley Greene, age 76 of Church Hill, entered into the glories of Heaven on Friday, March 3, 2023. Carolyn was born on May 14, 1946 in Wise County, VA to Fred and Mossie Ashley. On September 26, 1964, Carolyn married her most cherished friend, James Greene, and after 58 years of living a beautiful life together, he survives.

Carolyn loved traveling and spending time with her family. One of the things she enjoyed best was square dancing with her husband. For 20 plus years, they have danced together across the United States.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and two brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Greene; son, James Alan Greene; two daughters, Janet Byrd (Daymon), and Amy Blakely (Tim); four grandchildren, John, Joshua (Emily), Emily (Zachary), and Grayson; and great grandchildren, Kylie, and Connor James, who is on his way; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
