Charles Brantner Obituary
Charles J. Brantner, age 83 of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, February 13 at BeeHive Homes in Eau Claire. He was born in the Township of Lima, Pepin County, WI on October 13, 1941 to the late Joseph and Mary Brantner.
He grew up on a farm and loved farming. In high school, Charles played basketball. He graduated from the Town of Lima High School in 1958. After high school, he joined the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged.
Charles was Packer fan, an avid deer hunter, duck hunting in the Horicon Marsh and on the Mississippi.
He worked for Uniroyal for 25 years and had to retire early because of a disability.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet and his sister, Joanne Reick.
Preceding him in death are his parents and five sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14 at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Lima with Pastor Christine Emerson officiating. A luncheon will be served at the Hide-a-While bar immediately to follow.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at cremationsociety-wi.com.
