Charles "Sonny" Sartin, aged 88, of Brinkley, Arkansas, passed away on the 15th of February, 2026. Born in Palestine, Arkansas on April 20, 1937, to Jeff Tallie and Jennie Soley Sartin, Charles lived a life full of love, warmth, and generosity. He became affectionately known as "Sonny" to all who knew and loved him.
His life was characterized by his devotion to family, friends, and faith. As a man of many interests, Sonny found joy in life's simple pleasures like gardening, hunting, and fishing. He had an exceptional love for cooking fish, and delighted in sharing with his family and friends.
Sonny served his country in the Army and during his career worked as a skilled mechanic. He enjoyed fellowship with his family at the First Assembly Of God Church in Brinkley. His life was a testament to the power of faith, the strength of family, and the joy of sharing life's simple moments. His compassionate spirit, unwavering faith, and love for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff Tallie and Jennie Soley Sartin; his loving wife, Mary Osborne Sartin, whom he cherished deeply in their years together; his brothers, Harry, Vernon, and Cecil Sartin; and his sisters, Martha Gunther and Katherine Carter.
Surviving Sonny is his son, Chuck Sartin, and wife Angela of Forrest City; his brother, Jeff Sartin, and wife Peggy of Mount Olive, NC; his sister, Joan Barron of Hardy, AR; and his two grandchildren, Jacob Sartin and Brian Sartin, both of Forrest City, AR.

Mr. Sonny spent many a time at my dads shop buying parts and sharing tales....I got to enjoy several hunts with him and always found him such a nice and decent person
