Clifford was born November 11, 1942, in Kingsport, Tennessee at Holston Valley Medical Center to the late C. Clifford "Pop" and Myrtle White.

Clifford "Cliff" White was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School, Kingsport and attended East Tennessee State College (ETSU).

Cliff was a lifelong Christian and member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church for 55 years where he taught Sunday School, previously led the Junior High Youth Group, drove the Children's Choir bus, and many other activities over the years. Cliff never met a stranger and enjoyed being with people.

He was a previous member of the East TN Pterodactyls BMW Motorcycle club, and Antique Model A Club. Cliff and Jeanie were also campers with the Eastman Recreation Camping Club and enjoyed their camping friends.

In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his sister, Eldora Chappell; and his daughter, Laura White Littleton.

Those left to cherish Clifford's memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Janette "Jeanie" Patterson White; daughters, Stephanie Ryans (Chris), Hilliary Phillips (Roger), granddaughter, Emilee Phillips; sisters, Ramona Grills (Bill), Anita Bridwell (Richard); Cliff's big orange kitty cat Oliver; and several nieces, nephews, special friends, Phyllis and Johnny Carter and Sam and Jerry Cook.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Glenn Alpine United Methodist Church, 3200 Glen Alpine Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660.

A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Lisa Bryant and Rev. Dale Gilbert officiating.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.

Friends may also come by home of daughter Stephanie Ryans, 300 Cloverbottom Drive, Kingsport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter of Sullivan County, Blountville TN.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Julie Reddick and Holston Valley Hospital staff for the loving, compassionate, care Cliff received.

Uncle Cliff will truly be missed. He lived life to the fullest. He was always so cheerful and I cannot think of him without smiling. He was a good Christian man and a fine example. I'm praying for comfort for Jeannie and the family.

I loved working with Cliff in the Tech Service Inks Lab. He brightened every day with his smile and sense of humor. I've attached a picture of us as twins at the Senior Center in 2015. What a fun memory. My sincere condolences for your loss.
