Connie Bradley, completed her earthly race early on Wednesday morning, November 29, and entered the immediate presence of her Lord. She would tell you that she was exactly one month short of her 103rd birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Gene Bradley, and her daughter, Jeannine Samitz. She is survived by her son, Brent Bradley and his wife, Bunny, 6 grandchildren, Meghan Samitz, Kimberly Rivera, Robert Bradley, Alondra Moody, Calvin Bradley, and Jonathan Bradley along with 27 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Born in Sterling, Illinois, she was a longtime resident in North Hollywood, California. She and her husband moved to Kingsport in 1989. Connie was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Kingsport. Though unable to attend worship for some time, she remained engaged by praying for her pastors and congregation and faithfully listening to the preaching of God's Word through available media. Her favorite Scripture verse was Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those that love God, to those that are called according to His purpose." In keeping with that truth her life was characterized by contentment and joy.
Her body will be entombed at a graveside service at East Lawn Memorial Park on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 2 pm. Pastors Rob Dykes and Steven Warhurst will officiate.
