Connie Sue Dawson Phillips May 28, 1951- April 30, 2024
He caused the storm to be still… He guided them to their desired haven.
Psalm 107: 29-30
On April 30, 2024, another angel, Connie "Nonnie" Phillips gained her wings and reached her haven to be with her Lord and Savior, and to be reunited with her husband, Roger and son, Chad. They will be forever missed.
Connie, 72, was born to Estella and Joe Dawson on May 28, 1951. She was of a loving nature, had a heart of gold and was the best wife, mom, sister, aunt and friend the world could hold. Never selfish and always kind, these are the memories she left behind. Connie graduated from North Greene High School in 1969. She married the love of her life Roger, in 1970. Connie attended Whitney's School of Business and worked her first job at Giant Foods, later working at Fingerhut, Citi and Adessa.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Estella and Joe Dawson; her loving husband, Roger; son, Chad; sister, Judy Dawson; and brothers-in-law, Ronald "Beagle" Phillips and Hoss Ward.
Survivors include by her sisters, Beverly Phillips (Richard) and Mary Ward; sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Dawson (Jimmy) and Donna Brandon; brother-in-law, Randall "Smiley" Phillips; loving nieces and nephews, Heather, Tara, Cory, Sunday, Hannah, Rebecca and Jared; great-nieces and nephews, Dakota, Colton, PJ, Cole, Boone, Levi, Briley and Caroline; special aunt, Phyllis White; several cousins; and special friend, Sherry who was an angel by her side. Connie held her family and friends close to her heart.
"Nonnie" we will think about you always and talk about you still, you have never been forgotten and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain to walk and guide us through our lives until we meet again.
