Mickie,

Karen and I are deeply sorry for your loss. Dan was the finest of men. He was a powerful role model as a follower of Christ and served as such for me at work, at church, and on the basketball court. I was privileged to learn from him and be inspired as he worked to plant Grace Fellowship Kingsport. Also, I followed him in my first management position at Eastman, and he ensured that he prepared me well and continued to encourage me long after the transition. His life and the life the two of you made together are worthy of celebration, as you have yielded much fruit. We are here to help you in any way.

I enjoyed playing basketball with Dan in the 90s at Eastman. Dan always played hard but fair. I really liked Dan and will miss him.

So very sorry to hear about Dan passing. Mickie- you and Dan were so hospitable and welcoming to Ann and I when we first moved to Kingsport as a newly married couple and we joined your community group at GFC. Dan was a fantastic leader and we always knew he was sincerely praying for us, as members of his group. I still enjoy using some of his Trivia games ! He had a wonderful personality and lived with a helpful spirit. You will be in our thoughts and prayers through his loss. May God shepherd your heart and lead you through this valley. Praise the Lord that death has no permanent sting.

So sorry for the loss of your husband. I would see him multiple times each week when visiting my mom at The Blake. You could see he was a nice man. This is such a terrible disease that robs us of our family. You will be in my prayers.

My condolences and prayers go out to Mickie and family. Dan was a special person. Many great days canoeing and traveling to New York in the early years of our carriers. His smile was always special and made you glad to be with him and as a friend.

Dear Mickie sending our love and prayers for comfort for you and other members of the family.
Dan was a very special man and follower of Jesus, now he is with Jesus in a healed body and mind.
May you now receive comfort from our Heavenly Father knowing that his earthly trial is over and he rests in peace.

Dan was a busy man at the blake. Even though we all took care of him as a resident. We could always tell that he was a business man and a leader by his character. We will miss him from the blake

I met Dan when he first joined Eastman, in fact, I was his first office mate in the engineering group where we both started. From the very beginning, Dan stood out as one of the finest people I´ve ever known - always kind, always thoughtful, always genuine.

Over the course of our long careers, we worked together in many different roles. Through it all, Dan remained a trusted colleague and a dear friend.

I remember when he first started dating Mickie, he brought her to a get-together at our house. Even then, it was clear they were perfect for each other: two of the nicest people you could ever meet.

My heart goes out to Mickie at this incredibly difficult time. Dan will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The world needs more people like him.
