KINGSPORT – David W. Cox, 63, passed away at his home January 21, 2024.
David was preceded in death by his father, Jackie W. Cox and stepfather, Charles D. Parsons.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy Cox; daughter, Breana Cox; mother, Della Parsons; sisters, Teresa Carey and Tammy (Randall) Sluss; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Scott County Funeral Home. Services will follow at 12:00 pm. with Rev. Rick Meade officiating.
Military graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Mountain Home National Cemetery where family and friends are welcome to gather at 1:50 pm.

I´m so sorry to hear this. David was a great guy, and so young. Love you, Teresa, and I´m so sorry I didn´t know in time to attend the service. I considered David a lifelong friend.
