David Hamilton Obituary
KINGSPORT - David Wayne Hamilton, 70, of Kingsport, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. David was an electrician who owned his own business in addition to working for several contract companies in the area. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. David was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hamilton; mother and stepfather, Betty Ruth and Don Neeley; maternal grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. D.W. Jones; and niece, Amy Hamilton Wells.
David is survived by his wife, Mona Hamilton; daughter, Jennifer Hamilton Ellege; son, Derek Hamilton; grandchildren, Taylor Ellege, Nicholas Ellege and Peyton Hamilton; brother, Anthony "Tony" Hamilton; several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Wayne Fish; and special friends, Bro. Ronnie and Charlotte Mathis.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 6:30 pm with Bro. Ronnie Mathis officiating.
