David Murphy, 83, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025.
A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend to all. David is survived by his loving wife, Judy Murphy, son, David Murphy (Darlene), daughter, Denise Murphy-Roller, sister, Linda Ashworth (Jack), & an extensive loving family.
A celebration of David's life is planned for Saturday, October 25, 2025. Please contact Paige at 706-506-4745 for attendance information.

My condolences to Dave and his family. Dave approved for me to start my Lance career in 1977. He was the most polished businessman I had ever met. He impact me so much i worked for 39 year's. Grew up with David in Madison, TN, and always counted him as a friend. I remember his family as being solid with a loving mom and dad.
We had good times together. Roomed with him one quarter at Tenn Tech along with Wayne Elliot.

Denise and I have been close friends since 6th grade and I have many memories of visits to her home when we were kids and a couple of times when we were both in town through the years. Mr. Murphy has always been so pleasant to be around. It has been an honor and a blessing to know him for most of my life. He will be forever remembered as the kind and caring man that I knew. May he rest in peace. I am keepingyou all in my thoughts and prayers. Love you Denise. I'm here for you always.
