David Taylor Obituary

I am the son of Charles Wiley and recall David and my father lighting up any room with laughter. My memory of David is one of his infectious smile, laughter and simply a kind soul. He has made an imprint in my life and one that reminds me to lighten up and laugh more often.

Debbie, I was so sorry to hear of David's passing. My heart and prayers are with you everyday. I know I don't have to tell you how special David was to me - too so many! I have so many pleasant memories working with him when I hosted groups from Ramada Inn, then when I went to work at Kingsport CVB. He was such a good board member and ambassador for Bays Mountain Park and Kingsport. My fondest memories of late was working with him on Bays Mountain 50th Anniversary Celebration History Committee. I'm so thankful to have had this time to work with him again - ALWAYS A SUCH A TREAT! He always inspired me that anything was possible. Love and Hugs Debbie!

Debbie, May God grant you peace and comfort during these trying times. May you also find comfort to know that your husband that you shared so much with the world will be remembered with great fondness, wonderful memories, and immense gratitude. Dave made our world brighter, more alive and knowing, and a better place due to his presence and contributions. I cannot even begin to tell you how Dave helped so many people and organizations during his time on this earth. Again, thank you for sharing Dave with us and thank God for Dave´s time with us. Debbie, I´m so sorry to hear of Dave´s passing. I know you will miss him terribly. Praying for you during this difficult time.

I have always considered David as a good friend. We were in the Explorer Post at Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church in the early sixties. One of the best memories was when we went to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.

David you were a great friend and I worked 14yrs with you at Bays Mt Park. You talked to me many times about GOD and how you knew who the LORD was and awaited the day when he would ring the bell for you to come home. You are with your mom and dad and waiting for Debbie to show up. I love you my friend and will see you again on those golden shores of heaven.

David was a classmate at Dobyns-Bennett graduating in 1965. David was always a friendly cordial man. So sorry gor the family.

A friend from when he was a summer camp counselor at Camp Tom Howard David was an inspiration and mentor and all around good person. He was a major influence in my decision to become an interpretative naturalist.
