Dennis Hawbaker Obituary
KINGSPORT - Dennis Hawbaker, 73, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at his home. Born in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Robert Bruce and Louise Trayer Hawbaker, he attended the Mercersburg Academy and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Architecture.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen and their two daughters, Kirsten Hawbaker Skeens and husband Tyler of Kingsport, and Erin Vance and husband Kyle of Fall Branch. He is also survived by his brother Jeff Hawbaker and wife Kathy of Florida, brother-in-law Corey Ford and wife Sally of New Mexico, as well as Carolyn Ford of Virginia, several nieces, nephews and their families, his aunt, Dorothy Paylor, cousins and extended family.
Following his wishes, no formal service will be held at this time. A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, for those wishing to honor his memory, the family suggests contributions to one of the following organizations that provide cancer patients with financial assistance for medications and treatment costs or an organization of your choice.
