Dennis Harrison Peters April 29, 2024
KINGSPORT - Dennis Harrison Peters, aged 61, from Kingsport, TN, passed away on April 29th, 2024, and has gone to be with the Lord.
A dedicated Christian with a servant's heart, Dennis was born in Kingsport, Tennessee. He retired in 2018 after a fulfilling career as a crane operator at Eastman Chemical. Aside from his professional life, Dennis was passionate about farming, horse showing, and small engine repair, which he pursued on the side.
Dennis was an avid storyteller, loved fishing, and had a penchant for helping others-often going out of his way to assist anyone in need. He was a devoted husband, a loving brother, and treasured his 1967 GTO his first vehicle, and his first pickup a 1969 Chevy. His love for his dogs was unmatched.
He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Crystal; sisters, Lisa Isaacs and her husband Keith of Mount Airy, NC, and Kim Eaton of Kingsport, TN; brothers, Brian Eaton and his wife Missi of Surgoinsville, TN, and Jack Duncan of Kingsport, TN.; uncles, Gerald Peters and wife Opal, Paul David Peters and wife Rita both of Fall Branch, TN; cousins, Sheila Tipton and husband Jim, Scott Peters and wife Julie; He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins, his special friend, Leon David Roller, and his beloved pets, Maggie and Artie.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Troy Harrison Peters and Jane Elizabeth Qualls (Melton).
A memorial service will be held at Sharing Christ Ministries, 504 Cox Hollow Road, Kingsport, TN, on July 20th at 2:00 pm.
