Dewey Manis Obituary
Dewey Manis, Jr, age 72, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on April 15, 2023, at the Village of Allendale after an extended illness. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Manis; parents, Dewey and Dovie Manis; sisters, Nina Dowdy and Marie Waye; brothers, Carson, Mike, and Pete Manis; mother and father-in-law, Cecil and Earl Greer.
Left to cherish his memory, is his loving wife of 52 years, Bettie Manis; daughters, Robin (Randy) Wood, and Greta (Billy) Duty; son, Chris Manis; grandsons, Loren (Jessie) Jones, Cory (Kaylen) Wood, Dylan (Abby) Wood, Levi Duty, Jonah Duty, Carter Manis; two great-granddaughters, Lily and Riley Wood; sister Barbara Hutson; special brother-in-law, Wayne Greer.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Village of Allendale for all the wonderful care they provided.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 7:00 pm with Bro. Billy Linkous and Bro. Elser Bailey officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.chrisitansells.com
