Edwin G. "Jerry" Kilgore April 3, 2024
KINGSPORT - Edwin G. "Jerry" Kilgore, 86 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord late Wednesday evening, April 3, 2024. Jerry was born in Nickelsville, VA and had lived in Kingsport for most of his life. He was a graduate of Lynn View High School, class of '56, and retired in 1996 from Engineering and Construction Division of Eastman after 40 years. Jerry was a member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, camping, golfing and all sports.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, C.R. and Fern Kilgore; brother, Richard Kilgore; son, Mark Kilgore and daughter-in-law, Barbara.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Alley Kilgore; son, David Ray Kilgore; grandchildren, Mary Ellen Jessee, Davina Kilgore, Daniel Kilgore, and Braxton Kilgore; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Judy Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Meade officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00am at Holston View Cemetery.
