She was always my strength. She made me laugh -she made my trip packing decisions for me -and she made the long-distance phone calls (in the old days) worth the money-she made me simmer down when I needed to simmer down-she made it OK for me to learn and use swear words-she made the Dollar Tree and Goodwill an adventure-she made the best food and the nicest babies... Annie and Ellen are the missing parts of my sweetest life trio now. They were the best.
All my love to Ellen´s family and friends as they miss her.

Ellen was a great "friend´s Mom" to have. I am convinced I love bagel sandwiches, Birkenstocks, and hearty laughs because of her early influence in my life. Lifting a prayer for your family, Lisa.

Ellen and I met in Houston. Our husbands worked together and became fast friends. I enjoyed many hot and humid evenings with the Cyrs! We also traveled to France together where the guys worked and we made friends. One of my favorite memories was of a pizzeria that closed to the public at 2PM but opened for Ellen and me at 2:01 PM. The staff taught us inappropriate French and Ellen taught them in appropriate English as we ate pizza with an egg on top! I can still hear her laugh.
