BLACKWATER, VA - Ethel B. Harris, 79, Blackwater, VA, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at her residence.
Ethel was born in Kingsport, TN, on June 14, 1944, to the late Floyd Code Berry and Martha Scalf Berry.
In addition to her parents, her late husband, Joe Berry; son, Gary Berry; sisters, Lottie Bloomer, and Ruby King; and infant brother, T.J. Berry preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Rev. James Harris; son, Rev. Lonnie Berry (Susie); stepsons, Ricky Harris (Teresa), Glen Harris (Lisa), Eugene Harris, Kenneth Harris, and Tommy Harris; stepdaughters, Sandra Good (Robert), Brenda Keplinger (Eddie) "Cooper", Amanda Shelton (Steve); brother, Rev. William Berry; grandchildren, Jennifer Belanger (Derrick), Jason Berry (Crystal), Brian Berry (Melinda), Brandy Graham (Chris), Jessica Collins (Glen) Elizabeth Berry, Brandon Berry; caregiver, Billie Jo Crawford; and fur baby, Snowball; and a multitude of step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12-2:00p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jimmy Darnell and Rev. William Berry officiating. The Berry Family will provide the music.
Graveside services will follow at the Adams Cemetery, Duffield, VA. Jason Berry, Brian Berry, Tommy Berry, Glen Harris, Kenneth Harris, Tommy Harris, Ricky Harris, Brandon Berry, Jayden Berry, Payton Berry, Logan Belanger, and Ethan Belanger will serve as pallbearers.
