CHURCH HILL – Franklin Warner Wade, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Franklin was born in Jonesville, VA to his parents Lindsay and Annie (Deboard) Wade. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Army that served in the Korean War. He drove a concrete truck for Vulcan in Kingsport for many years before retiring. Franklin liked playing checkers and was always keeping people laughing. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Janice M. Wade; and his siblings.
Franklin is survived by his daughter Regina Roller (Mark); sons, Terry F. Wade, and Christopher "Chris" Len Wade; grandchildren, Chad Roller, Rebekah Cradic, Samantha Barnett, Chris Wade, Jr., Daniel Wade, and Whitney Wade; 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 on the way; as well as several nieces, and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Church Hill Memory Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff at Greystone Healthcare Center for their love and care over the last few years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Franklin's name.
