CONCORD, NC - George Bruce Allen, Sr., 79, of Concord, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
Mr. Allen was born May 13, 1944, in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Otto Allen and the late Maude Adams Allen.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Goddard.
George Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and he will be dearly missed by his family.
He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a cook.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Hamilton Allen of Concord, NC; sons, George Jr. Allen of Concord, NC, Bill Allen of Kannapolis, NC, Bob Allen of Lake Lure, NC, and Jim Allen of Harrisburg, NC; and his seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home, 800 Truxton Dr., Kingsport, TN.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ray Amos, Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Last Supper.
