WISE, VA - Glenda L. Stallard Woody, 73, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023, in the Holston Valley Medical Center Kingsport, TN. She was employed by many local Banks and retiring from Farmers Miners Bank in Wise, was a Volunteer of the Mountain View Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the VA.-KY. District Fair Committee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Zula Robinette Stallard; a sister, Regina Sue Willis, and brothers, Marvin Lance Stallard, Dwight Lynn Stallard.
Surviving is her husband, Ron Woody; a son, Ryan (Allison) Woody of Troutville, VA.; two granddaughters, Macyn & Charlee Woody; a brother, Leslie (Sue) Stallard of Coeburn, VA., sister, Gail (Sonny) Porter of Dry Fork, VA.; two special aunts, Barbara Caruso and Peggy Hall; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 29, 2023, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Sturgill Funeral Home 310 6th Street NW Coeburn, VA. Private Graveside Service will follow. Ronnie, Gail and family, I was so shocked to hear about Glenda. She was always one of my favorite people and I know I am not the only one that felt that way. She was always such a pleasant person to be around. You all are in my thoughts and prayers!!
