Helen Phillips Obituary
KINGSPORT - Helen Darsey Phillips, age 94, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at The Waters of Kingsport. Helen was born on May 9, 1929 to the late Walter L. and Laura Dougherty Darsey. She retired from United Intermountain Telephone Company where she had worked as an inventory control specialist.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Walter L. and Laura Dougherty Darsey; daughter, Bernice Lee Phillips; and sister, Louise Darsey.
She is survived by her cousin, Lisa Winkle and her sons, Garrett and Griffin, along with their families.
The family wishes to thank the staff at The Waters of Kingsport for their loving care of "Granny".
A graveside service will take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45pm.
