Helen B. Sensabaugh, matriarch of our family, passed away April 5, 2024, peacefully at her home. She was a dedicated Christian and pastor's wife who loved to tell people about the Lord. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church where her husband Andy pastored for forty-two years including Bradshaw's Chapel. She was a devoted mother to her children and Nana to her grandchildren, whom she loved fiercely. She worked at Ward's Feed store for fifteen years and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with others. She was a lady of class who was full of life and enjoyed by old and new friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Amos and Kathleen Barnette; husband, Pastor Andy Sensabaugh; brothers, Jack, Elmo, Joe and Danny Barnette and sister, Joyce Mullins.
Survivors include daughter, Wendy Lewis (Kelly); son, James Sensabaugh (Jessica); grandchildren, Jacob Lewis, Caden Sensabaugh, Kloie Lewis and Levi Sensabaugh; brothers, Lonnie Barnette (Debbie) and Roger Barnette; sister, Joan Light (Carl); sister-in-law, Kathy Sensabaugh; brothers-in-law, Kennith Sensabaugh, Bob Sensabaugh (Vicia) and Mike Sensabaugh (Debbie); several nieces and nephews and Chase, her loyal companion.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Freedom Baptist Church Mt. Carmel, TN. A Funeral service will follow with Pastor Troy Daily and Evangelist Chuck Grimm as officiants. Special music will be provided by Ed McClain and Chris Holder. Burial will follow with procession to Church Hill Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Caden Sensabaugh, T.J. Fraysier, C.J. Fraysier, James Robinson, and Chris Hill.
Honorary pallbearers will be JC Russell, Bob Purkey and Darrell Bishop.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care, Freedom Baptist Church and Carter's Valley Fire Department for their love and support.
