CHURCH HILL - Henry Donald "Don" Brooks, 89 of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 7, 2025, with his family by his side. He served his country in the AirForce and retired from AFG Glass Plant. Don loved woodworking and tinkering with his classic chevy truck. Another favorite hobby of his was to refinish antique furniture. He loved his family and friends dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. Don was a devout Christian and was a long-standing member at Ross Campground Church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Mattie Brooks; daughter, Donna Shipley; brothers, JD, Robert, Gene, and Jimmy Brooks.

He is survived by his daughter, Tina and Keith Henderson; granddaughter, Jodi and Chris Parker; great-grandchildren, Clare and Graham Parker; son-in-law, Joe Shipley; brother, Garland Brooks; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 1 pm until 2:30 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm with Pastor Karl Berndt officiating. Music will be provided by Holly Berndt.

A graveside will follow at Ross Campground Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Chris Parker, Cody Clark, Johnny Clark, Joe Brooks, Rick Henderson, and Steve Walters. Honorary pallbearers will be Dwight Ketron, Joe Shipley, and Bruce Coffman.

A special thanks goes to Suncrest Hospice and especially to Jackie Reeves for her care during this time.

To Don's Family,
I met Don at senior center in Church Hill. He was one of nicest people you could ever know. One day he said to me "you look like someone I know." Turns out he knew my sister Frieda, who is married to Steve. You will be missed Don. Prayers to Family

To Don's Family,

We are deeply saddened to hear of Don's passing. You could not find a nicer gentleman anywhere. Heaven has gained a wonderful person.

We are out-of-town and unable to attend services.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

With love,
Jerry & Wanda
