Jack and I were First Cousins. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but we did talk on the phone a few times. I could tell he was a very intelligent and special man. He will be greatly missed.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. We were distant cousins, and I had the pleasure of getting to know him through his books and lectures. I am very grateful that he devoted so much time to exploring the Minor and Goins family histories and thereby helping so many of us to learn more about our relatives. May those he left behind be comforted and may his legacy inspire those who come after him.

What a wonder Jack Goins. I am only recently familiar with his exceptional researching and writings, and have kept up a bit. In finding this on this web tonight, am greatly sadden but even more inspired.
