James Monk Obituary
James Frederick (Felphie) Monk, 56, passed away after a brief illness, Wednesday March 13, 2024, at his home in Kingsport.
James was preceded in deaths of his father, Jim Monk; his mother, Mickey Monk; his sister, Kimberly Monk Steele, all of Kingsport.
James is survived by his son, Justin Monk; stepmother, Yvonne Monk; nephew, Steven Steele; niece, Rebekah Long; grand-nieces, gran- nephews, and several cousins.
The family would like to extend a sincere "Thank You" to Melissa Weatherly and Margo Gounaris for their caring support.
The family will hold a private memorial service.

You were a great Big Hearted, Loving Brother, and will always be my Family. Love you Felfie.
We had great times back when the family was together, I saw u very successful, with the best little family, and Justin, he loves you so much, my heart goes out to him, he tried to care for you, and was proud to be your son, and able to help, when he could... We all loved you to pieces.... Never Forgotten, and always my Brother, Felfie.

Jim was a classmate of mine at DB and when I think of him, I remember all the many times he made me laugh. He had such a contagious smile. Prayers lifted up for his family.
