KINGSPORT - Joe L. Callahan, 62 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 18, 2024.
Joe was born on January 11, 1962, to the late Charles and Shirley Shelton Callahan. He loved watching movies, always had smile on his face, and was known for always saying, "we got it made." Joe worked at Skoby's and Asbury Place for many years.
Left to cherish Joe's memory are his wife of 39 years, Janet Parsons Callahan; daughter, Michelle Johnson (Steve); son, Matthew Callahan; sister, Wanda Hammonds; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2024. A Celebration of Joe's life will begin at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. David Vaughn and Pastor Tim Hodges officiating.
Graveside services will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park.

I never had the plrasure of meeting Joe, but I know his son Matt. My sincerest condolences to the entire Callahan family. I am heavy of heart for Matt, especially :( God bless you all.
