Johnny Burkette Lawson, Sr.

WEBER CITY, VA - Johnny Burkette Lawson Sr., 62, of Weber City went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He was born in Kingsport, TN on January 8, 1964, to the late Burkette "B.J." and Ruth Lawson. He enjoyed landscaping and worked at Enterprise Nursery for many years. Johnny later worked at Holston View Cemetery where he took great pride in his work. He had a great sense of humor and was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his sons, Johnny Lawson Jr. (Heather), Justin Lawson, and Jeremy Lawson (Taylor); grandchildren, Audrey, Drayden, Evan, Reagan, Grant, Jemma, Brantley, Jacob, Jenna, Joanna, Jonah, Josie, and Jackson; brother, Lowell Lawson; sisters, Loretta Stewart, Rhenda Davis (Jeff); niece, Haley; nephews, Buddy and Bryan; along with a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Scott County Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with his family serving as pallbearers.
