Johnny Wayne Rochester June 2, 1950- May 29, 2024
KINGSPORT - Johnny Wayne Rochester, 73, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born June 2, 1950, in Kingsport, to the late Walter and Nancy Haynes Rochester.
Johnny was a loving, caring, gentle, and humble Christian gentleman who loved Jesus with all his heart and his devoted wife, Kathy made his life complete.
He was a member of State Line Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and was involved in the AWANA program. Johnny loved to study the Bible and was especially interested in Bible prophecy.
He retired from A.F.G. as a tempered glass tech.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Rochester; sister, Ann Bernard.
Those left to cherish Johnny's memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Kathy Bowser Rochester; sister, Teresa Pendleton; brother, James Rochester (Linda); nephews, Holden Bernard, and David Pendleton (Charity); niece, Melissa Townsend Barno (Steve); several special cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 ? 5:00 pm Saturday, June 8, 2024, at State Line Baptist Church, 310 W Carters Valley Rd, Kingsport, TN.
A Celebration of Johnny's life will begin at 5:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Morelock officiating.
