Judith H. "Judy" Jenkins

SURGOINSVILLE – Judith H. "Judy" Jenkins, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Judy was born on February 20, 1946, to her parents, Mary Sue, and Bill Housewright in Church Hill, the youngest of 6 children.

She graduated from CHHS Class of 1962 and retired from Indian Path Medical Center. Judy was a member at and attended Oak Grove Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Hobbs (Curtis), and Lois Gladson; infant brother, Raymond; former husband, Wayne Wise; sister-in-law, Norma Housewright; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carroll Jenkins; brothers, Paul, and Kyle Housewright; stepdaughters, Jennifer Turley, and Julie Stone (Bryan); step grandchildren, Alexandra and Kaitlin Turley, Emma Stone, and Ian Stone; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Judy and Carroll would like to say many thanks to their good friends that brought food, called, and visited, and special thanks to Nurse Megan, and the sitters, Rita, Kathy, Paul, and Kyle.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Housewright Cemetery with Rev. Randy Presnell, officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:00 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to your favorite charity in her memory.
